OMUS Feature - Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA)

On April 16th one of our very own videos from our Brown work-Groundwork projects was featured during the Black Mamas Matter Alliance’s 2021 Black Maternal Health Virtual Conference (#BMHC21). Hosted every year, the BMHC is a premiere assembly for Black women, scholars, creatives, clinicians, professionals, advocates, and other stakeholders working to improve maternal health using birth justice, reproductive justice, and human rights frameworks. It offers a national space for learning, rich discussions, and mobilization to transform Black Maternal Health, Rights, and Justice.

We’d like to thank the participation of our community members, as their support has allowed us to highlight Black maternal health in Arizona on a national platform.
